Blog Template

Well I have decided that I am going to change this template into something so much nicer (OMG, just looking at the pool that's outside my hotel window, and WOW!) anyways... I am going to design it my self with my ghetto skillz.

I just bought my mom a 19" inch monitor for 25 bucks from the county that I am working at now. That's another plus to working with the county!

Thank You Bruce!

Well, thanks to Bruce, and his constant nagging ;-) I am posting back to my long forsaken blog. A lot has happened, so I will start from when I left Missouri.

I left Springfield on July 21st, the weather was a nasty 104 degree day. Suffice to say, I wasn't making enough money for rent, blah, blah. The bus delivered me back home in Wyoming on the 23rd, talk about a nasty trip!

=====Start of digress=====
On the bus from Denver to Rock Springs, there was this woman that was sitting behind me, that was talking about how she was in prison for 10 years for attempted murder of her 4th husband, and has had 6 total. Woman, you are insane! You should record yourself when your mouth is moving and words are coming out, then you just "might" realize you need to be involuntarily committed.
=====End digress====

So anyways.... It was about a month later when I purchased my 2005 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V. Talk about a nice and fast car!
I started working for the truck stop in Wamsutter as a cashier for the gas desk, and quickly worked my way to shift leader quality, where I was able to take over and run any of the registers, and help out the other cashiers.

In the beginning of November, I noticed an ad for a programer position located in Casper (Central WY) for Natrona County. I applied over the weekend (first of the month), that immediate week following, I was contacted for an interview on a Wednesday, and I interviewed that Friday.
The following Monday, they started checking my references (thanks to everyone that performed the reference checks for me) and that Friday I was offered a position.

So here I am now sitting in a hotel room for 30 days while looking for a place to live here. I am currently thinking of buying, I have the application almost done, and hopefully will be pre-approved. I am also looking for a short term lease just in case things take a little bit longer on the mortgage application.

I guess working for the County has some benefits (actually a lot, but I won't get into it right now), so I'll leave it at this, and will post more, and add pics.

Peace!

Irresponsible And Overreaction Abound In This School System

Seems that a story has been floating around lately about a school system
in Lake County, Ohio about a kid that created a simple webpage with a
link to the schools website, and then asking users to hit "F5" after
they click on the link. Now that kid is facing a felony all because the
school thought that he was trying to "hack" their system.

Now this is total bullshit, if they want a real hack, I'll more then
gladly show them how bad their site is.

Here's the link to their site. http://lake.stark.k12.oh.us/hs
Now it's down because the story filtered onto digg.com which houses a
lot of people that use the internet everyday. Here's the link to the
story, and the comments of the users.

I myself am a user of digg.com. Now is the school system going to go
after digg.com for the users navigating to their website via the address
bar in their browser? Once arriving at the site in question which, by
the way, uses DNS servers (domain name server, that takes a name like
http://lake.stark.k12.oh.us/hs and translates it into an IP address like all
websites.), or are they going to go after the whole world once this
story goes overseas?

Give me a break, click the first link, then hit "F5" over and over
again.
Please.
